Catherine McMann Weds At Pittsfield Ceremony
PITTSFIELD — Miss Catherine Lynn McMann daughter of Mr and Mrs Wallace McMann of Pittsfield became the bride of David Carlton Weymouth son of Mr and Mrs Harold Weymouth of Dexter in a ceremony performed Friday night at the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Zaven Dohanian officiating.
The organ music was provided by Mrs Pearl Harris.
The bride given in marriage by her father wore a white ankle length gown of nylon and taffeta with a nylon and lace bodice. Her veil was attached to a crown of seed pearls and the carried a bouquet of red roses white carnations and daisies.
The maid of honor Miss Glenda McMann wore a yellow gown of taffeta and lace and carried a bouquet of blue carnations and daisies.
The bridesmaids were Miss Nancy Elkins and Miss Jeanette Harding. Their gowns were of blue nylon and lace and they carried bouquets of yellow carnations and daisies.
Pvt Richard Weymouth of the Marine Corps was bestman. Ushers were Ralph McMann and Roger McMann.
A reception followed at the Grange Hall at Pittsfield, with Miss Lorna Bubar, Mrs Beverly Wood, Miss Terrie Rines, Miss Susan Smith, Miss Frances Nash and Mill Joan Gould assisting.
The bride attended Maine Central Institute at Pittsfield and Newport High School.
The bridegroom graduated from Dexter High School and attended the University of Maine. He is employed at the Hartland Tannery.
Following a wedding trip Mr and Mrs Weymouth will reside at Luce’s Trailer Park, Newport.
