Elizabeth Ellen Burnham and
Douglas Brian Lightbody were married at 2 p m Saturday at First Baptist Church. The bride is the daughter of Mrs Robert A Burnham and the late Mr Burnham She is a senior at USC-Spartanburg majoring in business administration. She is employed as a computer operator at Milliken Research in Spartanburg. The bridegroom is the son of Mr and Mrs Burton E Lightbody of Sumter. He graduated from USC-Spartanburg with a degree in business administration. He is employed by USC-Spartanburg. The Rev D. B. Weber officiated. Music was provided by Wilma Jones, organist and Jeff Perry, vocalist. Given in marriage by her brother Robert A Burnham Jr. the bride wore a tea-length gown of tulle and lace featuring a tapering bodice scalloped neckline long sleeves and billowing tulle skirt. She carried a cascade of pink rubrum lilies white dendrobium orchids and miniature carnations. Mrs David Younts, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs Steve McMakin sister of the bride, Mrs Robert Burnham Jr., sister-in-law of the bride, Mrs Chris Ryan and Joan Bryant.. Flowergirl was Melissa Meeks. The father of the groom served as best man. Groomsmen were Reggie, Sheeman Bill Weathers Byron Kinney and Brack Horne. The reception was held at the church social hall. The rehearsal party was held at the Holiday Inn of Greenville. After a wedding cruise to Mexico the couple will live in Spartanburg.
