Thomas “T.V. Tom” Hazelrigg
DECATUR – Thomas T.V. Tom Hazelrigg, 93 of Decatur died 2:40 am. Friday May 8, 2009 at Fairhavens Christian Home. Tom was born June 22, 1915 in Winchester, IL., son of Dell and Ollie Hazelrigg. He loved photography and was quite good at it. He was a Pilot and a plane builder. He served in the Army during World War II.
Tom married Florence M. Conwell in 1935. They shared 74 years together until Florence died April 19, 2009. He was known by his business’ name T.V. Tom where he sold appliances for many years while Florence worked diligently at home raising their two sons, David and John.
Surviving are sons; David & wife Norma Hazelrigg of Forsyth, John & wife Denise of Ohio, grandchildren; Michael & Debbie Hazelrigg of Round Lake Beach, IL., Jeffrey Todd Hazelrigg of St. Louis, MO., Matt & Michelle Hazelrigg of Decatur, Kelly Hazelrigg of Forsyth, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brother Harry Hazelrigg.
A memorial gathering with the Hazelrigg family to honor Tom & Florence will be 6 to 8 pm. Monday May 18, 2009 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church 352 W. Wood Decatur, IL. A private burial for the family will be in Macon County Memorial Park Harristown, IL. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements. Obituary written by family members. Mrs. Hazelrigg is the former Florence Conwell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Monte D. Conwell. Announcement was recently made of her marriage on Feb. 18 in St. Charles, Mo. She and her husband are making their home for the present time with her parents at 2132 East Avery street.

Florence Conwell and Tom Hazelrigg Marry
Announcement is made of the marriage on Feb. 18 of Miss Florence Conwell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Monte D. Conwell, to Tom J. Hazelrigg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Delos M. Hazelrigg. The ceremony was performed in Kingshighway Baptist church, St. Charles, Mo., by Rev. C. C. Ellis. Attendants were Miss Ethel Seman and Gene Payton. The bride wore blue crepe and corsage of Roosevelt roses and baby’s breath. Both are graduates of Decatur high school. Mr. Hazelrigg is employed by the Krigbaum Electric company. For the present time he and his bride are living with her parents at 2132 East Avery street.
