Michael David Hazelrigg 50, of Round Lake Beach, IL formerly of Decatur, IL passed away in Decatur Memorial Hospital at 3:14p.m. September 19, 2014.  The family will gather to receive friends for a time of visitation to celebrate Mike’s life beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 22, 2014, at Dawson and Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion, IL. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.dawson-wikoff.com.  Mike was born June 15, 1964, in Decatur, the son of David and Norma (Kelly) Hazelrigg. He was employed as a Project Manager at Caterpillar having worked for the Stefanini Company. Mike had attended Richland Community College and was currently attending Capella University. He enjoyed amateur radio broadcasting and was an avid gamer. Mike’s biggest passions in life were his friends and family, especially his children. He married Debbie Lee Hornbeck on October 18, 1986.  Surviving is his wife: Debbie, son: Zachary Hazelrigg and daughter: Kayla Hazelrigg, all of Round Lake Beach, IL; parents: David and Norma Hazelrigg of Forsyth; brothers: Jeffrey Todd Hazelrigg of St. Louis, MO and Matt Hazelrigg (Michelle) of Decatur; sister: Kelly Hazelrigg of Forsyth; uncle: James Kelly of Decatur; Mike is also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends and his special canine companion: Sushi.
