Brazier, Arleene (née White). In Ottawa, Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at the age of eighty-six. A caring, charismatic and beautiful woman, widow of Arthur Brazier. Beloved mother of Lorna Mata and Paul Brazier of Ottawa. Proud grandmother of Tanya Kelen and honorary grandmother of Bela Kelen and great-grandmother of Isaac Louis Durocher-Kelen. Daughter of the late Lily Phillips and Harold White. Arleene grew up in Georgetown, Guyana and lived there during her younger years. For most of her life she lived on the South Shore of Montreal in Greenfield Park and happily made Ottawa her home for the past few years.
Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 585 Somerset St. West, (Ottawa), (613) 235-6712, Thursday, January 17, 2008 after 5 p.m. followed by a service in the Chapel at 7 p.m. Friends may also pay respects in Montreal at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont, (514) 279-6540, on Saturday, January 19, 2008 after 9 a.m. followed by a service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Cremation.
