HERRINGTON, Sylvia Lillian — 97 of Clarence, Annapolis County, passed away peacefully, Sunday, June 8, 2014 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born in Cannan, NB she was a daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Keirstead) Paterson. Throughout her life, Sylvia dedicated her time and energy to raising her family. She enjoyed singing, dancing and playing the accordion. Sylvia will be remembered as being a wonderful mother with never a complaint.
She is survived by daughters Carol Gammer, Kamloops, BC, Vera Raeburn, Lower Norton, NB, Marilyn Ketchum, Quispamsis, NB and Sharon Nichols, Fredericton, NB; sons Donnie (Barb) Herrington, Toronto and Ian Herrington, Clarence; step daughters Edna Hall, Quispamsis and Esther Crandall (Don), Sackville, NS; sisters Norma Humphrey, Halifax and Ethel Sleep, NB; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Walter “Leslie” Herrington; sons Bob, Gerald and Kevin.
By request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2014 in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB. Visitations will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Upper Golden Grove, NB. By request, family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
