AMESBURY —
Annette D. Palmer, 81, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at the home of her son with her family at her side. Born in Newburyport and raised in Amesbury, she was the daughter of the late Lionel and Delina (Gamelin) Gonthier.
She was the wife of the late Wilbur F. Drew who passed away in 1979 and the late George M. Palmer who passed away in 2001. She was also predeceased by her daughter Lorraine Drew in 2006. Annette was first a homemaker. She was an avid reader and loved crocheting afghans for her family. She was employed as an office manager for many years at the former Brochu’s Market on Main Street in Amesbury.
She is survived by a daughter, Suzanne M. Casey and her husband Bernard of Newburyport; two sons, William F. Drew and his wife Beverly of Amesbury and Robert M. Drew and his wife Lyn of Manchester, N.H.; one sister, Barbara McPartland of Amesbury; two brothers, Lionel Gonthier of Amesbury and Richard Gonthier of Alton, N.H.; five grandchildren, Tammy Goldfarb, Jon Drew, Douglas Drew, Kelly Casey and Robert Drew; five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services on Friday, Aug. 7, 2009 at 3 p.m. at the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Amesbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Hospice of the Northshore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102 Danvers, MA 01923. Arrangements are by the E.V. Jutras & Sons Funeral Home, Amesbury.
