WOODLAND, Washington County —
Marjorie E. Tammaro, beloved wife of 65 years of the late Tony Tammaro, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, Jane, in Winterport on Nov. 15, 2003. She was born Sept. 24, 1915, in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, the daughter of Heber and Georgina Fitzsimmons.
Affectionately known to all as ‘Mum,’ she was a long-time resident of Woodland where she was a communicant of St. James the Greater Catholic Church. Marjorie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted her life to caring for her husband, Tony, and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Fournier and her husband, Ray, of Wilton, Dorothy Cerbone and her husband, Tony, of Brewer, Jane Bartram and her husband, Curt, of Winterport; and her son, Peter Tammaro of Alexander; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, George Fitzsimmons and his wife, Pat, of Woodland; a sister, Dorothy McCurdy of Kam Loops, British Columbia; several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, Woodland, with the Rev. Frank Morin, pastor, celebrant. Burial will be at the Woodland Cemetery. A reception at the church center will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tony Tammaro Memorial Athletic Scholarship Fund, care of St. Croix Federal Credit Union, P.O.
