Charles Ticknor Erion, 70, of Roberta GA, passed away March 18th following a courageous fight against glial cancer. A Celebration of his life will be held at Hart’s at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, GA on Saturday, March 30 with CLP Diane Frank officiating. The service will begin at 4pm with a reception to follow until 6pm. The service welcomes children and dress code will be casual attire in your favorite color/s.
Charles was born to Henry Erion and Burrdine Jones on January 2, 1943 in Eufaula, AL. He graduated from Academy of Richmond, GA in 1961 and earned his AB degree in 1965, and his J.D. in 1968, from UGA. He worked for the US Attorney’s office, Middle District of GA until entering private practice in 1979, practicing in central GA until 2000. He enjoyed time outdoors as an experienced hunter and fisherman, dedicated to his roles as husband, father, and grandfather.
Charles is survived by daughters: Jennifer Elliott (Matthew) of Woodstock, GA and Joanna Erion, of Augusta, GA; grandson Gabriel Elliott; sister, LuRuth Malone; and special family: Debby Barlow; Ken & Kathy Wood; godchildren: Charles & Katie Wood; and numerous nephews, nieces and dear friends.
He donated his body to the Medical College of Georgia for the purpose of Science. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Erion to the National Brain Tumor Society (www.braintumor.org).
