      Charles B. Webb, 93 years young of Albuquerque, NM passed away February 26, 2018 at home, surrounded by his loved ones.
       Charles (Chick) was born May 2, 1924 in Castleford, ID. He was the third of 4 siblings born to Doyle and Lula Webb. While attending Castleford High School, Chick met his future wife, Clarice Easterday. On January 27, 1945 they were married at the Army/Air Force base in Sherman, Texas. After the service, they moved back to Castleford where they bought a farm. This is where their son, Charles Wayne and daughter Kathleen were born. In the spring of 1958 they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Chick worked for the FAA until his retirement in 1974. He and his son started the first sod farm in the State of NM.
       Chick and Clarice moved to Los Lunas where they started a sod farm south of Albuquerque off I25 called Grasslands. In 1993 the Chamber of Commerce awarded them Business of the Year. In 1997, Chick also helped support the regional soccer championship, by having the championships on the Sod Farm. There were many sports and other activities there at the “ranch”. Chick retired completely and moved back to Albuquerque in 2002.
       Chick is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, wife Clarice and his only son, Wayne.
       Chick is survived by a daughter, Kathleen of Albuquerque, a daughter-in-law, Barbara Webb of Rio Rancho, NM, 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
       Arrangements will be under the direction of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 3113 Carlisle NE. Services will be at Sunset Memorial Mausoleum in the church room. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Mausoleum 924 Menaul Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107. After the services please join the family back at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, to celebrate the life of Charles Webb.
