Ralph E. Jordan, 84, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Kent Hospital in Warwick. He was the husband of Catherine (Baucome) Jordan of East Greenwich. Born in Presque Isle, ME, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mabel (Brown) Jordan.
Mr. Jordan was a WWII Navy Veteran and had done pastorates in Rhode Island, Maine, Vermont and Connecticut. He was the manager at Quidnessett Baptist Church book store had been a state worker in New Hampshire doing custodial work at New Hampshire State Technical School.
Having a benevolent attitude, Mr. Jordan was always approachable and known to have a mild mannered personality to him. He had a philanthropic existence living in the faith of Christ leading into his theological views and was a devoted reader of the bible.
Besides his wife Catherine, he is survived by two children: Paul Jordan of North Kingstown and his wife Rebekah of North Kingstown and Betty L. Jordan of Rennselaer, NY; two grandchildren: Andrew P. Jordan of Somersworth, NH and Melissa J. Cail and her husband Benjamin of Matthews, NC. He was the brother of the late Mamie Crouse and Glenwood Jordan.
A Memorial Service will take place at Exeter Chapel, 765 Ten Rod Rd Exeter, RI on Thursday, February 2 at 10 AM. At the request of the family burial will be private.

Ralph E. Jordan, 84, of Sixth Avenue, East Greenwich, died on Tuesday, January 31, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Catherine B. Jordan. Mr. and Mrs. Jordan celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on December 27, 2011.
Born in Presque Isle, Maine, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mabel Jordan. He was predeceased by his sister Mamie Crouse and his brother Glenwood Jordan. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Paul J. Jordan and wife Rebekah of North Kingstown and his daughter Betty L. Jordan of Rensselaer, New York. He is also survived by his two grandchildren Andrew P. Jordan and Melissa J. Cail.
A World War II U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Jordan met his wife at the New England School of Theology in Boston, Massachusetts and later graduated from Barrington College. For more than twenty years, he held several pastorates throughout New England. He served as the manager of the Quidnessett Baptist Church Bookstore for over ten years. He retired as a custodian at the New Hampshire Technical Institute in 1999. Family and friends remember his cheerful dependability and his love for the Lord Jesus.
Burial will be private, but relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Exeter Chapel, 765 Ten Rod Road, Exeter.
