      Born March 20, 1932 in Muskogee, OK. Passed away July 20, 2024 after a long-time battle with Alzheimer’s. Survived by long-time partner and caregiver, Marilyn Piersdorf and her family, Mark (Chris) Johnson and their family, David (Amanda), Joel and Michael; Jimmie’s children, Ylanda Boerma, James Beardsley and Debra Whitehead; 8 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; siblings, Edith Jo Upton, Margie (David) Gary, Edward (Glenda) Daniels and Roberta Gail Howard; nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by sister, Estella Sue Beardsley; grandson, Sgt. BJ Beardsley and step-daughter, Robin Curtis; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Upton, Sr., Michael Howard, and infant son.

      Memorial Service 11 AM Wednesday, July 31 (visitation 10-11AM) at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Nevada and Victoria, St. Paul. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Many thanks to the dedicated staff at the MN Veteran’s Home.
