SUFFIELD — Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Kathleen Stewart, wife of Dr. John Stewart of Exeter, Ill., who died at her home in that place on March 11. She was the daughter of Waldo and Theodosia (Higley) Reid and was born In West Granby, February 6, 1845. When she was 5 years old her father died of yellow fever in Georgia and when she was 10 her mother died and she came to Suffield to live with her aunt, Ruth H. White. She attended the Suffield public schools and the Connecticut Literary Institution and at the age of 14 years she joined the First Baptist Church. She taught school in the East for sixteen years and when her health gave out she went West and there was married August 25, 1886. She had lived in Exeter, Ill. for the past forty years and leaves besides her husband three children.
