    1. [S4] Obituary.
      Harold “Pop” Gilbert passed away on June 30, 2019 following a short illness.
       He was a WWII veteran who served proudly as a B-17 gunner with the 8th Air Force. After military service, he was town manager of Camden, Maine. His extended career was with ARMCO Construction Products as a territorial representative. After retirement he pursued a second career as a real estate appraiser. He was selected by the College of the Ozarks for their sponsored trip to England to visit historic WWII sites. He also had the privilege of participating in Honor Flight Maine to Washington, DC. In addition, he received the University of Maine’s Greatest Generation Award for his military service.
       Throughout his life, his tenet was, “give more than you take.”
       Harold is survived by his wife of 70 years, Norma, daughter Donna, two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
       A memorial service will be planned for a later date. Cremation Society of Kansas and Missouri
