Lamorah Stebbins Stephens, age 70, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 20, 2010 after suffering from the very rare disease of Creutzfeldt - Jakob disease, which is a Neurological disorder. She was a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines for 28 years, and then after Eastern Airlines went under she dusted off her RN degree and went back to nursing school receiving a BSN and later specializing in Wound Care. She then joined Army National Guard Unit 117th M.A.S.H. until mandatory retirement at the age of 60. She continued her military service by volunteering with the Georgia State Defense Force.
Survived by her Husband of 46 years J. E. Stephens; Son - Todd & His Wife Holly of Cocoa, FL; Daughter - Lamorah Leigh of Fairburn, GA; Grandsons - Frank, James, Nicholas, and Daniel; Sisters - Marybee Armstrong of DeFuniak Springs, FL; and Rosie Ness, Steamboat Springs, CO; Brothers - Mickey Harvin, Jupiter, FL, and Rusty Harvin, Charleston, SC.

Viewing will be at Parrott Funeral Home in Fairburn, GA, on Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. The Funeral will be at East Point Presbyterian Church on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 2 o’clock with remains placed in-state at 1 o’clock.
