ROBERT A. BOYD Robert A. Boyd, 80, died at the Sibley hospital on March 17. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 19, at 10 a.m. at Walton Funeral Home in Sibley. Rev. Robert Crandall officiated. Burial was in the Ocheyedan Township Cemetery.
Robert was born on June 22, 1899 in Ocheyedan, the son of Frank and Mary Van Cleve Boyd. He grew up in the Ocheyedan area. He was married to Gladys Grey on Nov. 22, 1939 in Moville, Iowa. He owned and operated a cornsheller in the Osceola county area frome 1947-1965. He as resided in Ashton since 1945.
He was a member of the Methodist Church, the American Legion, the Legion Barracks, and the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by one son, James, of Audubon, Iowa, and one sister, Rose Bruns of Ocheyedan.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1979, two sisters and his parents.
