Mrs. Dorothy Doncaster of Sussex Corner passed away on December 24, 2010 at the age of 91. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Jessie (Ore) Proctor and the wife of the late Kenneth Doncaster. Dorothy is survived by her son: Rev. Terry Doncaster (Elta) of Saint John and two daughters: Joan Keith of Dartmouth and Sheila Doncaster of Comox, BC; her grandchildren: Dr. Lara Hazelton (Robert) of Halifax and Dr. Curtis Keith of Boston, MA; her step grandson, Brian McCullough (April) of Nauwigewauk; three great grandchildren: Emma, James and Diana; two step great grandchildren: Cameron and Ella; as well as several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by four sisters, Alice Geldart, Effie Friars, Jennie Buchanan and Irene Friars and by five brothers: Willie, Joe, Bert, Arthur and Herb.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8pm. A Celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held from St. Marks Anglican Church on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 2:00 pm. The interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery in the spring.
