Mitchell A. Doughty, 53, of Turnpike Rd., Ashford, passed away on Friday, (December 22, 2006). He was born in Manchester, son of Bruce and Phyllis (Dorsey) Doughty.
Mitch was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft as a master mechanic. He was a member of the National Riffle Association and the Machinist Union of Pratt & Whitney for 33 years. He also enjoyed shooting, hunting, playing music, and most of all family.
Mitch is survived by his loving wife Jackie (Ouellette) Doughty of Ashford; two sons, Justin Doughty and Amanda Green of Vernon, and Nathan Doughty and Shannon Meade of Stafford Springs; two step children, Dylan and Emily Rodrigue of Ashford; his parents, Bruce and Phyllis (Dorsey) Doughty of Manchester; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Brian and Diane Doughty of Maine, and Randy and Eileen Doughty of Manchester; a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Michael Nichols of Manchester; a special friend of the family, Marilee French of Manchester; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours are on Wednesday, December 27, from 6-8 p.m. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 28, at 2 p.m. at East Center Cemetery, Manchester.
