ONALASKA —
Duane E. Gosline, 77, of Onalaska passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013, at the Mayo Clinic Health Services in Sparta. He was born Jan. 1, 1936, in Milwaukee to George and Clara (Leece) Gosline. Following High School graduation he served in the United States Air Force from 1954 until his discharge in 1958. On Feb. 23, 1957, he married Patricia Doughty in Fort Fairfield, Maine and they later divorced.
Duane had worked as a welder for the Harnischfeger Corp. in Milwaukee for 20 years until his retirement on Feb. 7, 1985. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved to fish.
Duane is survived by four sons; Phillip Gosline of Whitehall, Daniel Gosline of Presque Isle, Maine Mark Gosline of Holmen and Jude (Wendy) Gosline of Taylor, four grandchildren, Lukia (Clarissa) Evenson, Jacob (Ashley) Evenson, Amanda Evenson and Hunter Gosline; along with two great-grandchildren, Anthony Evenson and Jayden Evenson. He was preceded in death by two sons, Stephen and Duane; his parents; his former wife Patricia and two brothers, Eugene and George.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Ave. S. with Msgr. Steven Kachel officiating. Burial with military honors will be at a later date in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
