JOSEPH E. TURNER, Kemp’s Mill, died at the Washington County Hospital Monday morning of bronchial pneumonia, aged 71 years.
He served as engineer on the Pennsylvania Railroad for 26 years and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Surviving are three sons, Max G., Hagerstown; James D., Perry Point, Md.; and Ray E., at home; half-sisters, Mrs. Mary Hurd, Chewsville; half-brothers, Charles Turner, Sharpsburg; Tom Turner, Akron, Ohio; Henry O., Berryville, Va.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church; interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
