Ware, Jr., Robert Alexander (Bob), age 79, of Mount Dora, Florida, passed away February 28th, 2011. Born November 14, 1931, in Birmingham, Alabama to Robert A. Ware, Sr. and Ethel Murphy Ware, he and his family relocated shortly thereafter to Miami, Florida. Bob graduated from Miami High School in 1949 where he played defensive end on the football team; on the track team he ran hurdles and pole vaulted. In 2003 he was inducted into the Miami High Football Hall of Fame. Bob served as a Florida High School Athletic Association Football Official for over 20 years. In 1953, Bob graduated from University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree. He was a brother of Sigma Nu Fraternity. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy and served as an Officer from 1953 to 1957. After serving his country, he returned to University of Florida and graduated with a law degree in 1961. Bob practiced law in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Florida for 42 years. After retiring to Mount Dora in 1999, he was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church. Predeceased by his sister Louise “Diddy” Wade, Bob is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sara Graham Ware of Mount Dora, daughter Shaw Ware and son in law Mario Maenza of Orlando.
