      John M. “Jack” McKeon, Sr., of O’Fallon, MO, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016, at the age of 73. Loving husband of Patricia A. McKeon (nee: Welker); beloved son of the late Edward, Sr., and Mary Helen McKeon; devoted father of John M. (Tawni) McKeon, Jr. and Christine Martin; cherished grandfather of Emma McKeon, Brianna Martin, Caleb Hunter, and Cadi Hunter; treasured uncle of Beth (David) Kehl, Ray (Tina) Thompson III, and Ellen Marie Thompson; loving great-uncle of Harper, Jen, Zach, and Christian; dear brother of Wm. “Gene” (the late Maureen) McKeon; stepfather of Kevin (Raven Payne) Weinrich, Katherine (Steven) Salas, and Karl (Lorinda) Weinrich; step-grandfather of Shea Weinrich, Emilie Weinrich, Jakob Weinrich, Nathan Salas, Jacob Salas, Dillon Salas, Katarina Weinrich, Lucas Weinrich, Matt Muzzy, and Brooke Muzzy; step-great-grandfather of Gage and Sophia. Jack is preceded in death by his first wife, first love, and best friend Nancy Ann McKeon, his brother, Edward Thomas McKeon, Jr., and his aunt, Mildred Sullivan.
       Jack proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. He retired after more than 40 years as a truck driver for J.S. Alberici and William R. Montgomery & Associates. He loved spending time with his family. He truly enjoyed barbecuing for his family and friends. Jack did not know a stranger, and was willing to help anyone who needed the assistance of his “Mr. Fix It” skills and tools. He was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.
       In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or Alzheimer’s Association.
