TRECARTIN, Ruth Mary – It is with sadness the family announce the death of Ruth Mary Trecartin of the Loch Lomond Villa which occurred at her residence on September 26, 2013 surrounded by her family. Born March of 1917in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Edward W. and Estelle (Grey) Daley. Ruth was a foster mother for over 22 years and was a devoted mother. Ruth Mary enjoyed pool and snooker, country and western music, reading, singing, spending time with her family and her cats.
She is survived by her children Pamela Trecartin-Cyr (James Cyr), Sandra O’Hara (Gerard O’Hara) and Janette Jarvis all of Saint John; sons Sean Worden and Daryl Tracey (Jean) of Nova Scotia; brother Donald Daley of Saint John; several grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren; special feline grandchildren De Angelo and HRH Princess Mark Canuck, several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents and her husband Roy Chipman Trecartin, Ruth Mary was predeceased by her daughter Dawn Hatfield and sons Roy, Peter and Jackie Trecartin.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Saturday and Sunday September 28 and 29th from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday September 30th 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Ruth Mary’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer Society or to the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation.
