BULMER, FLORENCE M – The death of
Florence May Bulmer of 453 Milford Road, Saint John West, NB, wife of the late Gordon Hoyt Bulmer, occurred peacefully on Thursday, December 16, 2004, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Grace D. (Gosline) Trecartin. Florence was a member of the Peninsula Pearls, the Kingston Friendship Group, the West Saint John Ruby’s Seniors Club, the Kingston Baptist Church Keenagers, the Women’s Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Centreville, NB and the Canadian Legion Branch in Westfield, Mass.. She was a representative for Avon Products for 20 years and was named in the top ten salespeople in the USA. Florence enjoyed swimming, bowling, playing cards, cribbage and 45’s and loved arts, crafts, knitting, crocheting and painting.
She is survived by her children Barbara Shaw (Calvin) of Williamstown, NB, Patricia Philbin of Scranton, PA, Garfield “Gary” Bulmer of Saint John West, Phyllis Woodward (Walter) of Carleton County and Massachusetts, USA, Carolan Beal (Robert) of Maine and Lorraine Jill Rogalski (Robert) of Westfield, Massachusetts, one step-son Gordon Victor Bulmer (Jean) of England, her very very special companion of many years, Tony Landry, three brothers, Thomas Trecartin of Yellowknife, NWT, Paul Trecartin of Hampton and Nelson Trecartin (Christine) of Summerville, NB, ten sisters, Marion Cheeseman of Saint John, Grace Thibodeau of Saint John, Phyllis Henry (Louis) of New Hampshire and Arizona, USA, Thelma Edwards (Stanley) of Saint John, Beatrice Crawshaw (Bob) of Saint John, Mary Trecartin of Saint John, Lois Robertson (Ralph) of Cambridge Narrows, NB and Florida, Diane Fleming (Clary) of Summerville, NB, Nancy Muller of Massachusetts and Ester Irvine-Wilks (Doug) of Saint John West, brother-in-law, Arthur Bulmer of Williamstown, NB, 21 grandchildren, Dwayne, Scott, Jeffrey, Wendell, David, Krystal, James, Dylan, Tiffany, Erin, Adam, Joey, Jessie, Andy, Jason, Jeffrey, Matthew, Timothy, Daniel, Julie and Rosaline, 21 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Jacqueline Ruth White, one sister, Ruth Horton and step-granddaughter, Sally Patricia.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425), with visiting on Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, December 19, 2004 at 2:00 PM. Florence will then be taken to rest at Kilcollins Chapel, Florenceville, NB, with visiting on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Kilcollins Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in the Williamstown Cemetery in the spring.
