LeBLANC, George Emile – 80, Bridgewater, Lunenburg, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2007, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bathurst, N.B., he was a son of the late Arthur and Lillian (Boudreau) LeBlanc. He was a veteran of the Second World War. Retired from the Armed Forces, he was very active traveling with his wife, Dorothy, until six years ago when his illness with kidney failure began.
Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Harding; son, Terry LeBlanc, St. Catharines, Ont.; daughters, Nancy Downs (Patrick), Peoria, Ill.; Susan Canning (Brian), Michelle MacKay (Louis), both of Ottawa, Ont.; sister, Gertrude Dorais (Lou), Quebec; brother, Bernard LeBlanc (Ginger), St. Catharines, Ont.; grandchildren, Pamela, Cailean, Shannon, Peter, Megan, Laurel, Adrian, Chelsea, Victoria, Eric, Corey, Cherylynn; great-grandchildren, Evan, Vivian and Madison; many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his faithful Boston Terrier "Kim".
He was predeceased by brothers, Normand, Roger and Dennis.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater, Msgr. William Wamboldt officiating. Burial in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater.
