      The unexpected death of Rose Marie Kenney occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, December 13, 2013. She was born on February 28, 1940 in Dalhousie to the late Raymond and Mildred (Stever) Methot. Rose Marie worked in the child care industry both public and private all of her life. She was hardworking and loved being around children. Rose Marie enjoyed the time she spent at the Loch Lomond Villa Apartments especially lunches with friends, bingo and exercise classes.
       She is survived by her son, Darryl Kenney (Jacqueline) of Toronto; daughter, Alison Friedel (Richard) of Quispamsis; her children from a previous marriage: Brian Kernigan, April Beaulieu, Mark Kernigan and Darlene Goodfellow; brother, Howard Methot (Ellen); sisters: Ruthie Nash, Diane Doucet (Roger) and Kim Jennings (Robert Piercy); grandchildren: Christopher Kenney, Lucy Kenney, Hans Friedel and Katrin Friedel and several nieces and nephews.
       Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 12:00 pm with visitation for two hours prior from 10:00 – 12:00 pm. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
