A graveside service for Burton Earl Helzer was held July 30th in Riverview Cemetery.
Mr. Helzer died July 22, 1995 at age 83. He was born November 1, 1911 in Spokane, Washington and came as a child to Portland. He established Burton’s Typewriter Co. in 1944 and retired in 1986.
He married Helen M. Carl in 1946. She died in 1993.
Survivors are his daughters, Ginger MacDuffee of Oregon City, Nancy McCord of Portland and Shirley Speake of Milwaukie, Oregon; a son, Don Laws of Bend, Oregon; 14 grandchildren an 20 great-grandchildren.
