    1. [S4] Obituary.
BEARDMORE, Ian Harold. December 5, 1953 - September 30, 2004. With great sadness our family announces the death of Ian while on holiday in Tenerife, Spain. He was the much loved son of Harvey and the late Frances Beardmore, cherished brother of Richard (Marianne), Anne (Jim), Pat (Ed), Carol (Garry), Diane (Derek), loving uncle to Ben, Sarah, Simon, Kate, Jen, John, Heather, Gordon, Colin and Rachel.
Born and raised in Montreal, he left for England in 1975, where he resided happily and courageously despite the challenges that muscular dystrophy brought him. Ian’s life was filled with many adventures supported by dear friends and wonderful caregivers. He maintained a delightful sense of humour and was generous to all. Theatre and music were always a big source of joy in his life. Special thanks to Jaime Duran, Richard Catarino, Pat Barlow, David Milton and the Nonneman family for their friendship and support. Funeral services will be held on October 8, 2004 at All Saints Church, East Finchley, England where he was an active member.
Donations in his memory may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Canada, 2345 Yonge St. Suite 900, Toronto, Ontario M4P 2E5.
The Montreal Gazette, Oct 6, 2004.
