Mrs. Ruth Ellen Griffith, 77, of Eastwood, died Saturday at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, NY. following a lengthy illness.  Born in Minoa, she was a life resident of the Syracuse area. Mrs. Griffith worked for New York Telephone for many years. She and her husband, John, also own and operate Ryan’s Liquor Store in Eastwood. She was a member of the James Street United Methodist Church and the Minoa chapter of the Eastern Star.  Survivors: Her husband, John D.; two sons, Thomas of Syracuse and John Jr (Debbie) of Saratoga Springs and two grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Services: At a time to be announded, on Tuesday, at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home at 3111 James Street, Syracuse. Calling hours: 4 to 7PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial: Pine Plains Cemetery of North Manlius.
