  [S4] Obituary. Frederick W. Lauster, Jr. of Pine Island, NY, a lifelong resident of the area, entered into eternal rest on March 9, 2010 in North Carolina. He was 64.  The son of the late Frederick W. Lauster Sr. and Evelyn Dollar Lauster, he was born April 16, 1945 in Sussex, NJ. He was employed by Kimiecik Landscaping, Inc. in Florida, NY. Fred was an active member of the Pine Island “Pulaski” Fire Department and awarded “Fireman of the Year” for 2009. He was a longstanding member of the Raymond Hose Company of the Warwick Fire Department. He was an active member of the community. Fred was a person who was loving, caring, and always willing to lend a hand. He was a true “jokester” at heart. He will live forever in our hearts.  He is survived by four children: Frederick W. Lauster III of North Carolina, Arlie Jager and husband, Jeff of Pennsylvania, Courtney Lauster Scott and husband, Tobin of South Carolina, and Ashley Swaim and husband, Justin of North Carolina; four grandchildren: Alyssa, Ciarra, Kaileb, and Amaya; six sisters: Doris Crane of Daytona, FL, Jean VanDuzer and husband, Stanley of Warwick, Patricia Luft and husband, Richard of Warwick, Rose Skellenger and husband, Jack of Wantage, NJ, Donna Dodge and husband, Gerry of Simsbury, CT, and Cheryl Toner and companion, Herbert of Warwick; three brothers: Robert Conklin and wife, Betty of Slate Hill, Everett Lauster, Sr. and wife, Florence of Milford, PA, and George Lauster, Sr. and companion, Roberta of Sparrow Bush; 28 nieces and nephews, 70 great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Donald Conklin; sister, Shirley Kinney; and four brother-in-laws: Wesley Crane, James Kinney, Mark Toner, and Alfred Kinney.  A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, at the Pulaski Firehouse, County Route #1, Pine Island.
