Alfred R. Kinney Sr., a two-year resident of Eldred, a former resident of Wantage Township, N.J., and a 10-year truck driver for Service Concrete in Hamburg, N.J., and then Pond Eddy, died unexpectedly Tuesday, December 31, 2002, at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. He was 55 years of age. The son of the late Russell and Anna M. Kinney, he was born in Sussex, N.J. Mr. Kinney was employed by Sullivan Structures in Wurtsboro for the last two years. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Lauster Kinney, at home; four children, David A. Kinney of Wantage Twp., N.J., Sue Ann Schweyer of Montague, N.J., Alfred R. Kinney Jr. of Wantage Twp., N.J., and Kathy-Joe Kinney of Yulan; two brothers, Leo C. Kinney Sr. of Wantage Twp., N.J., and Wilbert R. Kinney of Montague, N.J.; a sister, Elsie Rome of Wantage Twp., N.J.; eight grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, James J. and Clark C. Kinney. Friends may call at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third St., Sussex, N.J., on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Services will be held Monday at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Interment will be made in Clove Cemetery in Wantage Township, N.J.
