      It is with great sadness that the family of Leila “Ann” (Rayworth) Hebb, 83 of Martin’s Brook, Lunenburg County, N.S. announces her passing on Friday, February 14, 2020 at the Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.
       Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Colin Wells and Elizabeth (Skinner) Rayworth.
       Ann is survived by her daughter, Susan Redding (Robert) of Chelmsford Massachusetts, and her son, Stuart Hebb (Katrin Mehler) of Miami, Florida; two grandchildren, Laura Hebb of Boston and Claire Hebb, Fort Lauderdale and brother Colin Wells (Diane) Rayworth, of Fredericton, New Brunswick.
       She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Judge Robert C. Hebb.
       Ann was educated at Kings Edgehill, Windsor, N.S. and attended Dalhousie University where she received her Masters of Social Work Degree. She was employed with Mental Health for a number of years and was actively involved in community organizations where she served in an executive capacity with the Lunenburg Golf Club, Lunenburg Yacht Club and Past President of the Lunenburg Art Gallery. She was a founding member of the Lunenburg Day Care Center and served as a Board member of the N.S. Labour Standards Tribunal for many years and a member of St. John’s Anglican Church, Lunenburg.
       Being a very active mother, in 1976 she spearheaded a Federal Government Funded Exchange program between junior sailing programs of Lunenburg Yacht Club and West Vancouver Yacht Club where both groups of kids visited each other’s habitat.
       She was very well travelled and enjoyed cruising with her husband Bob on their boat Magic Flute with the Long Island gang.
       A service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held at a date and time to be announced at St. John’s Anglican Church, Lunenburg, with Reverend Laura Marie Piotrowicz, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John’s Anglican Church or charity of choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L.
