    1. [S4] Obituary.
      It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of the patriarch of our family, Gordon Leroy Magee. He passed away after a brief hospitalization at Valley Reginal Hospital. Gord went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, December 26, 2020.
       Gord was born on October 3, 1939 in Berwick, Nova Scotia. After graduating high school, Gord enlisted in the Canadian Navy where he served his country with great pride. On December 28th, 1959 Gord married his wife and life partner of nearly 61 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Orde. Gord served as a deacon at the Baptist church he attended. He served as President of the Cornwallis Military Museum and was a member of the Legion.
       Gord will be missed by many including longtime family friends Jack and Gail Chivers, and Tom and Eleanor Garry. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth “Betty”. They have two children Michael (Christie) and Nancy (Greg). He leaves behind eight adoring grandchildren, Megan (Jimmy), Matthew (Randi), Katie, McKenna (Justin), Melissa, Colton, Joseph and Kenny and seven great grandchildren, William, Kayden, Peyton, Maverick, Tripp, Ella and Sadie.
       The internment took place at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Lequille, Nova Scotia on January 6th, 2021.
