    1. [S4] Obituary.
Bowlby, Kenneth Sanford — After a courageous journey, on February 18, 1998, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Ken will be sadly missed by his loving daughter, Marilyn, Hamilton, Ont.; niece, Katharine and husband Craig, and their children, Marion and Anna, Halifax. Born November 7, 1912, Ken was predeceased by his adored wife, Marion; his brother, Ronald and several other siblings. He is survived by his sister, Kathleen, Ottawa. He will be remembered fondly by his many nieces and nephews and his many cherished friends, particularly Sue Bowes, Hamilton, Ont., and the Veinot family, Aylesford. Among his many enthusiasms were golf, home-grown peas, Paul Robeson, the stock market and suspenders.
A private cremation has been held. A memorial service celebrating Ken’s life is planned for Monday, February 23, at 4:30 p.m. in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Berwick. A reception will follow in the family home in Aylesford. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society and the SPCA would be greatly appreciated. The family expresses its warmest thanks to everyone for their kindness and support. "But life and work and friendship and love will go on, in others, your inheritors."
