Harold Raymond Starner — Born March 6, 1929 to Herbert and Aura Starner in Wakefield, Nebraska. He was the 4th of 6 children. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Russell Leroy, Eugene Charles and sister Ruth Evelyn Soll. He was also preceded by his wife of 50 years, Audrey Corinne and son Ralph Leland Starner. He is survived by his sisters: Beulah Breene of Denver, Helen Schilling of Yuma; his children, Gerald Leroy (Alejandra), of Northglenn, Linda Marie (James) Quam of Florence, Colorado, Wayne Franklin (Toni) of Brighton, Susan Gail (Steve) Machann of Westminster; grandchildren, Stephanie, Philip, Katherine, Alejandra K., David, Brian, Morgan, Daniel, Derek, Mathew, Erin, Eli, Sophie; and great grandchildren, Bo, Kegan, Bailey, Samantha, Tyler, Luke, Samuel, Shylan, Xavius, Irelyn, Julian. Harold served in the Iowa National Guard in Sioux City, Iowa as supply sergeant. There he met his love, Audrey, and they married in 1950. They moved to Denver in 1954 where he worked for Public Service company until he retired in 1986. He continued his education with courses while rearing his growing family and eventually attained a construction supervisor position at the Fort St. Vrain Nuclear Plant in Platteville, Colorado. He was a Scoutmaster while his sons grew up and took his troop on outings every month of the year. He also loved: softball, bowling, boating, fishing, elk, deer or antelope hunting, goose and duck hunting and entertaining his family and friends on water skiing and fishing trips on numerous reservoirs. He provided untold hours of family enjoyment camping and RVing.
