Beulah Stewart, 88, lifelong resident, dies here Thursday
Beulah Esther Stewart, 88, 1517 W. Walnut, a lifelong resident of Jacksonville and Winchester, died Thursday, July 7, at Passavant Hospital. She was born in Morgan County May 11, 1895, daughter of Samuel Thomas and Ruzelia Rexroat Erixon. She married Clayton M. Stewart March 6, 1915 and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one sister, Kathryn Evans of Jacksonville, two nieces Peggy Hogg of Chapin and Joanne Brasel of East Moline, and four nephews, Roland Erixon and Clayton Erixon both of Jacksonville, Paul Erixon of Wood River and Rex Erixon of Pennsylvania. There are several great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
A Jacksonville High School graduate. She attended MacMurray College. She was a member of the Phulathel Class at Grace United Methodist Church.
There will be private funeral services. Interment will be in Gillham Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church. Friends may call after noon Friday at Cody and Son Memorial Home, where family will receive friends 5 to 6 p.m.
