Mrs. Dorothy H. Grammes, 78, of Allentown died Sunday in her home. She was the wife of Byron S. Grammes. They observed their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 2. Born in Shenandoah, Schuylkill, she was a daughter of the late Alton and Melinda Blaker. She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, Allentown. Mrs. Grammes was president of the Allentown Boys’ Club women’s council 1969-71, and the Lady Hamilton Club, Allentown, in 1963.
Surviving with her husband are two brothers, Charles A. of Coplay and Warren T. of Allentown; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Markwitz of Allentown and Mrs. Geneva Chiz of Bethlehem; three granddaughters and a great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a son Theodore and a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Dollar. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown. There will be no calling hours.
