HAVANA, IL —
Jack J. Hills, 72, of 5631 N. Prospect Road, Peoria, formerly of Havana, died at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
Born June 4, 1930, in Joliet to Arthur and Frances Folger Hills, he married Barbara McNutt on Nov. 23, 1952. She died Nov. 24, 1986. He married Rosemary Cicciarelli on July 22, 1988. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ronald (and Dianne) and Michael (and Jill), both of Havana; two stepsons, Christopher (and Estelle) Kelly of New York and Brennan Kelly of Burbank, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Leland (Frances) Keith of Havana and Rebecca Hills of Chicago; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Philippe (Lisa) Boet of Naples, Fla.; one brother, Art of Grand Rapids, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild.
He was a coach at Green Valley High School from 1954 to 1956 and at Havana High School from 1956 to 1963. He later owned and operated Havana Pepsi Cola until selling the business to IC Industries. He continued to work there as manager until retiring.
A graduate of Bradley University, he was a member of Bradley Chiefs Club and was past president and director of the Bradley University National Alumni Association. He also was a member of the Country Club of Peoria and Lockport Gun Club. He had served as director of the Havana National Bank for many years. Cremation has been accorded. Burial of ashes will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
