DEATH OF CHARLES MAHER.
Traffic Manager of the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Association. Charles Maher, who for twenty-five years was connected with the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Association, and who of late years had been traffic agent for the association and superintendent of the Manufacturers’ Railway, died yesterday morning at his home, No. 1117 Arsenal street.
Mr. Maher had suffered from bronchial trouble for several years, and, while retruning home from a committee meeting at the Jefferson Club, September 9, he caught cold, aggravating the disease. He had since been confined to his home, and in the last week hope for recovery was abandoned.
Mr. Maher was identified with local Democratic politics and was Central Committeeman from the Ninth Ward. He was 53 years old and was born in St. Louis, and received his education in this city. His widow, a son, and two daughters, survive him.
The funeral will take place Wednesday from the residence. The Masonic ritual will be observed. Other arrangements for the burial have not been completed.
Mr. Maher was a member of the Royal Arcanum, the Ladies and Knights of Honor, the Legion of Honor, and the Ancinet Order of United Workmen.
