Frances Parshall Gamble, 80, 527 Memorial Drive, died Saturday, Oct. 29 followin an extended illness. She was born March 26, 1908, at Grand RIdge, Ill., to Ralph Ransom and Quindora Melinda Finley Parshall. She attended schools in Portland, Ore., graduating from Franklin High School in Portland.
She married Francis Burton Gamble Dec. 26, 1931, at Bellingham, Wash. He died Sept. 16, 1946. She was employed for the
Oregonian Publishing Company in Portland for 48 years. She was the supervisor of the circulation accounting department when she retired in 1973.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. J. Frank (Judy) Harmon, Pocatello; a sister, Dorothy Elizabeth Parshall Skelton, Seattle, Wash.; and three grandchildren, Elizabeth Hunt Harmon, Portland, and Franklin Gamble Harmon and Matthew Francis Harmon, both of Pocatello. She was preceded in death by four brothers.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Portland Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Portland, Ored. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home in Portland. Following cremation, burial will be in the Portland Memorial Mausoleum. Local arrangements are under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home.
