LEWISTON — Clinton C. Soule, Jr., age 84 of 57 Jefferson Street, Lewiston, died Tuesday December 2, 2008 at his home.He was born in Lewiston, Maine on July 11, 1924, the son of Clinton C. Soule Sr. and Helen (McCarthy) Soule. He graduated from Lewiston High School with the class of 1941. Mr. Soule served in the US Navy during World War II from 1943-1946. His service took him to the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Panama Canal, South Pacific and Okinawa aboard the USS Chase. Mr. Soule worked for Northern Utilities for 43 years before retiring in the mid 1980’s. He was a member of the American Legion where he enjoyed gathering with his fellow veterans on a regular basis. He married the former Margaret Stearns on July 23, 1949 and she died on July 2, 1994. Clint will be remembered by all his family and friends for his contagious sense of humor and love of sports. He is survived by his five children; Michael Soule and his wife Karen of Bristol, New Hampshire, Patrick Soule and his wife Ginny of Hampton, Virginia, Kathy Beaudoin and her husband Raymond of Augusta, Kevin Soule of Norfolk, Virginia and Shawn Soule and his wife Jollene of Lewiston; seven grandchildren Stephanie, Katrina, Philip, Tiffany, Brian, Kayla and Delany, and two great grandchildren Seamus and Keegan. Besides his wife he was predeceased by his sister Lillian Soule as well as both of his parents. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Tonie for the companionship and support she provided to Clint over the last several years. She put a twinkle back in his eyes and gave him something to look forward to on a daily basis.

Soule – Died in Lewiston Tuesday December 2, 2008. Mr. Clinton C. Jr. age 84 a resident of Lewiston. A Memorial Mass honoring Clinton’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday December 9, 2008 at 9AM at St. Patrick’s Chapel. Interment will be private at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Online condolences and sharing of memories may be expressed at www.lynchbrothers.com. Miss Stearns Is Bride Of Clinton Soule, Jr. In a ceremony at the Chapel of St. Patrick’s Church this morning, Miss Margaret Stearns became the bride of Clinton Soule, Jr. The single ring ceremony was performed and traditional wedding music was provided by Claude Noel, organist. The bride wore a suite in gray pin check with navy blue and white accessories and her flowers were pink roses in corsage. Miss Betty Burns of Auburn attending her as maid of honor wore an acque suite with white accessories ad a corsage of red roses. Edward Fahey of Lewinston was best man. Following the ceremony an informal reception for members of the family and a few close friends was held at the home of the bridegroom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Soule at 127 Howe Street. Miss Nancy Weese presided over the gift display and was in charge of the guest book. Following a wedding trip to an undisclosed destination the couple will live at 37 Burbank Street. Mrs. Soule, granddaughter of Albert Junkins of Lisbon, was educated in the schools of Lynn, Massachusetts. Mr. Soule was graduated from Lewiston High School and is employed at the Hill Divison of Bates Manufacturing Company. He is a member of the Lewiston Lodge of Elks.
