Lebanon, ME — Kendrick French 71, died Tuesday August 31, 2010 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Born July 17, 1939 in Rochester, he was the son of the late Ernest and Mildred (Newhall) French. Mr. French worked as a gun designer for Thompson Center Arms for 43 years. He was an avid outdoorsman. He was a lifetime member of the Sanford – Springvale Fish and Game, the NRA, NAHC, and SCI. Members of his family include his wife of 54 years Permilia (Robbins) French, of Lebanon, ME; his children Ernest French and his wife Carolyn of Alfred, ME; Michael French and his wife Kimberley of Ebeemee, ME; Darlene Small and her husband George of Strafford, NH; and Donna Goodwin and her husband John of Middleton, NH; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, his sister June Goodfield of Newfield, ME; and his sister-in-law Gloria French of Lebanon, ME; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers Lewis and David French. Family and friends may visit Friday September 3, 2010 from 10 AM – 12 PM at the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. Rochester, NH. A funeral service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will take place in the New Cold Spring Cemetery in East Rochester.
