      Ena T. (Easton) Shaw of Bridgewater, wife of the late Winthrop F. Shaw, died peacefully at Braemoor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Brockton on May 28 at the age of 99. Ena was born and raised in Brockton and was the loving daughter of the late Leon and Della (Gildart) Easton. She was a graduate of Brockton High School class of 1930 and she also attended Mrs. Elliot’s Business School. Ena and Win were married for 65 years prior to Wins passing and lived in Bridgewater for most of their married life. Ena worked at Dutchland Farms and Fairbanks Hardware. She was an avid gardener and lover of flowers, her favorite flower being the pansy. She was also a wonderful baker and was known for her apple pies and doll birthday cakes lovingly made for her many nieces and grandnieces. Ena loved to talk and through her conversations made many friends over her years. She was also a prolific letter writer and never forgot a birthday or anniversary. Her sharp memory for dates was legendary. She was the family historian and matriarch of the extended Easton family.
       She was sister to the late E. Marian (Easton) Saccocia, the late Eleanor (Easton) Belcher, the late Claude (Bob) Easton, the late Ralph Easton, and the late Richard Easton. She was the loving aunt of the late Carol Ann (Saccocia) Wood, Joan (Saccocia) Farwell, Nancy (Saccocia) Lucchetti, the late Roberta Belcher, Janet (Belcher) Ransom, Barbara Belcher, Ralph Eugene Easton, Gary Easton, Maureen (Easton) Mashburn, the late Darlene Simoes, and James Easton.
       She also leaves many great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and many close friends.
       A celebration of Ena’s life will be held in September in honor of her 100th birthday. Please call the funeral home for more information.
