Mrs. Reginald F. Shaw — Friends were shoked to learn of the sudden death, from pneumonia, of Mrs. Reginald F. Shaw at her home in Wollaston, Mass., Thursday Nov. 12th. Mrs. Shaw was formerly Edna B. Bowlse, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Bowles of Waterville, were she spent her girlhood. About thirthy-five years ago she married Reginald F. Shaw of Wollaston, who also was a native of Waterville.
As a result of an accident she had been a semi-invalid for over ten years, but kept herself in touch with outside life and was much admired for her ready wit and also her patience in suffering.
Before her accident, she was a faithful church worker and a devoted Sunday School teacher, adn had many friends who were loyal to the last. She was also affiliated with the Eastern Star and Wollaston’s Women’s Club.
The funeral was held at her late home on Saturday, Nov. 14, and was attended by many relatives and friends. Many beautiful flowers expressed esteem for the deceased and sympathy for the bereaved husband. The service was conducted by the Rev. Stuart Huskins, pastor of the Wollaston Congregational church of which she was a member. Burial was in the Blue Hill cemetery at Braintree, Mass.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Shaw leaves two brothers, Aubrey Bowles of Waterville and Dr. Boyd F. Bowles of Wollaston, Mass., and one isster Lily (Mrs. Charles Jones) of Hollywood, California.
