Calvin Leon Boyd passed away in the V.A. Medical Center, Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was the son of Minnie Gashe & Melvin Boyd. In Nov 24, 1972, Wheaton, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Leatha Currens, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Roy Boyd of Cassville, MO; one daughter, Patricia Anderson of Seligman, Missouri; two brothers, Melvin Boyd of Stillwell, Oklahoma and Billy Boyd of Granby, Missouri; one sister, Gerri Mac of Rogers, Ark and three grandchildren, Dakota and Dustin Boyd and Christopher Anderson. Preceding him in death were his parents, a daughter, Jeanie Marie Boyd and a brother, Loren Boyd. Calvin was a graduate of Southwest High School and attended two years at Crowder College. He was tool and die machinist for Roderick Arms in Monett, Missouri. He was a United States Army veteran. Fishing was his favorite pastime and was dedicated to his family, who he loved. Reverend Joe Wogoman conducted the memorial services in New Freedom Worship Center, Purdy, Missouri.
