      Billy Wayne Boyd, 72, Granby, MO passed away January 20, 2020. He was born June 28, 1947 in Granby, MO to Melvin and Minnie (Gasche) Boyd.
       Billy worked as a tool grinder for FAG Bearing in Joplin, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and bird hunting. He loved his Yorkies, Punki, Missi, and Muffi. Billy was known as never having met a stranger and having a story for everything. He was a member of the Diamond United Methodist Church.
       Billy and Linda (Drake) Boyd were married August 17, 2007 in Miami, OK; she survives of the home. He is also survived by his daughter, Mickie Mahan and husband, Loy of Neosho; one brother, Ed Boyd of Stillwell, OK; one sister, Minnie “Geri” Mac of Rogers, AR; and two grandchildren, Asia Spencer and husband, Sam and Waylon Mahan.
       Billy was preceded in death by his first wife, Laveta; his son, Marty Boyd; and two brothers, Loren Boyd and Calvin Boyd.
       A memorial visitation will be held 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Friday, January 24, 2020 at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO. Contributions to honor Billy may be made to The Billy Boyd Scholarship at Crowder College or to Joplin’s Golden Paw Pet Rescue, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho Chapel.
