HOLDEN – John Jack Wilkinson, 68, of 4 Scenic Drive, an insurance underwriter, was stricken ill at home and died Wednesday, August 7, 2002, in UMass Memorial Medical Center - Memorial Campus, Worcester. He leaves his wife of 44 years, Phyllis A. (Allen) Wilkinson; two daughters, Heather W. Wilkinson Rojo of Londonderry, New Hampshire, and Laurel L. Wilkinson of West Tisbury, Marthas Vinyard; two brothers, Robert Wilkinson of Manchester-by-the-sea, and Richard Wilkinson of Long Beach, California; two grandchildren, Catalina Rojo of Londonderry, New Hampshire, and Tye Wilkinson Stien of West Tinsbury; nephews and nieces. He was born in Beverly, the son Donald M. and Bertha L. (Roberts) Wilkinson, and lived 34 years in Holden. He graduated from Beverly High School and Boston University, and attended Boston University Graduate School. Mr. Wilkinson was a charter life underwriter with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network for 34 years. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Holden where he served on several committees. He was a member of the Worcester Life Underwriters Association and the Jewish Community Men’s Club. He was an avid golfer and reader. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2002, in the First Congregational Church of Holden, 1180 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, 1290 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2002, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden.
