      Lyman Harold Rand, 35, a veteran of the Great War, died Monday. Mr. Rand enlisted with the 19th Battalion at Brandon and was transferred for Service in France to the 16th Canadian Scottish Battalion, C.E.F. Since demobilization he had been employed at the Canadian National Railway shops at Fort Rouge. He was a member of the Independent Order of Foresters and of the Amputations Association. Surviving him are his mother, at Transcona; four sisters, Mrs. W. McLeod, Transcona; Elma, of St. James; Mrs. C. Ring and Miss Bertha, of Crystal City. The funeral will be at 9 am Wednesday, from Mordue’s funeral home to Brookside cemetery.
