    3. [S4] Obituary.
Richard “Rick” Larson, 49, of Exeland died Saturday, April 23, 2016 in Ladysmith. Rick was born June 5, 1966 in St. Paul, Minn. to Robert and Norita Larson of Mendota Heights, Minn. He was originally from Eagan, Minn. before moving to Exeland 11 years ago. He and wife, Debbie, were married for 28 years.
Rick was a strong servant of the Lord. He was always seeking after God’s truths and driven to share them with anyone who would listen. He was a dedicated and loving husband of his high school sweetheart and always protected and provided for his family, even while suffering from the late stages of systemic Lupus. He never gave up and was always the trooper who pushed himself to the limit in order to care for his family. Rick was a very serious and intelligent man, but also a little boy fully capable of hilarious pranks and crazy ideas. He is one-of-a-kind, and his loss is great. It will be difficult for those left behind to pick up where he left off. But there is hope. The teaching and counseling that he gave will always be cherished and never forgotten.
Rick is survived by his wife, Debbie; his daughters Leah (Jared) Zesiger of Exeland, Kayla Larson of Exeland and Sophie Larson of Exeland; his brothers Ken Larson of Rosemount, Minn., Steve Larson of St. Paul, Minn., Mike Larson of Cottage Grove, Minn, and Jim Beardsley of Blaine, Minn.; his sisters Linda Larson of St. Paul, Minn., Ylanda (David) Boerma of McGrath, Minn, and Debbie Hatfield Elberfeld of Indiana; and his step-mother Lorna Harwell of Rosemount, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Bob Larson.
A funeral service was held Friday, April 29 at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith.
