      BESSIE MAY RICHARDS (née MARCHANT) April 19, 1909 - May 27, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bessie Richards. She passed away peacefully at Concordia Place Personal Care Home on May 27, 2012, at the age of 103 years.
       Bessie will be sadly missed by her sons, David (Elizabeth) and Don (Heather), and her grandchildren, Lisa (Dave), Jonathon (Chloe), Leslie (Gord) and Beverly (Craig). Bessie was also a proud grandmother to 12 great-grandchildren.
       Mom was predeceased by her husband John Richards on January 4, 2001, her brothers Gordon and Roland, and her sister Millie. Mom was born in La Riviere, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg at an early age residing here until her passing.
       Our special thanks to the staff at Concordia Personal Care Home for their compassion and wonderful care for the past six years. Mom enjoyed to the fullest the activities and fellowship at Concordia Place. Flowers gratefully declined, if friends so desire donations may be made to the charity of their choice.
